December 25, 2017. My 3rd Christmas in Oz. Also the third Christmas I have not seen my family in the Philippines. Well, physically that is. I do video chat with them most of the time. Ah, the beauty of technology 🙂
When I feel homesick, I do cook mostly Filipino food. My husband cooks better Adobo than I do now so, technically I ask – he makes 😀
So this Christmas, like last Christmas, we made Pork Belly Lechon. We roasted it in charcoal this time. We baked it in the oven last year. I am trying to emulate how the Lechon in the Philippines taste like with what ingredients I can find here in Straya. I made Pancit Bihon, Leche Flan and Mango Float.
We spent this day cooking, playing World of Warcraft, napping then watching chick flicks in Netflix 😀
